I think that if you’re not interested in a date, then don’t do it. Also if he can only ask you out when he’s drunk, then maybe it’s best if you just don’t. Also I think your mom should respect your decision, though I understand that’s she’s happy :)

Yeah, I’m not planning on it, it’s my mum that keeps bringing it up (it happened ages ago) and everytime I tell her to stop she just never listens. Oh, my mum has an excuse for that too lol. Apparently, guys are ‘shy’ when asking a girl out, and so the alcohol would have helped him to come and speak to me, which is just a load of rubbish. I’m not a scary person, I won’t bite people if they come and speak to me, so that’s a stupid excuse. But, that’s not even the point cause I’m not interested so I won’t be going. I just wish my mum would accept that fact.
